About

The Richard L. D. and Marjorie J. Morse Department of Special Collections is responsible for preserving and making available archival resources related to our collecting strengths, which include the consumer movement, cookery, Kansas life and culture, and Kansas State University history. A fire occurred at Hale Library in May 2018, and the library is closed during the recovery and renovation period. Thankfully, the department’s collections were minimally affected, but they were removed from the building and are not accessible at this time, other than small portions of frequently used reference materials.

About the database

This search tool is still under development, so please expect some design and editing changes throughout 2019. The database is predominately for archives and manuscript collections, while descriptions of print collections are available through Search It on the Libraries’ home page. This tool provides access to archival descriptions—also called finding aids—and digital files from collections. Ways to access the database include the search box and the browse function above.
